This past weekend, Team Lance-A-Bot and Lance-B-Bot attended the FIRST Robotics competition at St. Joseph High School. With this being the first ever competition for our B-Bot, they did incredibly well during the competition! In the end, B-Bot was ranked 12th out of all 40 teams that participated that day. They were also the captain of the 8th alliance. Their teammates were #6877 the Mechanical Mustangs, and #74 Team CHAOS. They ended up as semifinalists in that competition, but our drive team did a fantastic job! Lance-B-Bot also got the Rookie All-Star Award, which is given to a rookie team that exemplifies the mission of FIRST. Great job #10473 Team Lance-B-Bot!

Team Lance-A-Bot also did an incredible job during the competition. Even though their robot had a few problems, they were still able to make a big impact. They were ranked 19th out of the 40 teams that day. They were selected into the 3rd Alliance with their captain, #2054 Teck Vikes, and #1076 Pi Hi Samurai. They went all the way through the semi-final matches and ended up as finalists in the end. Lance-A-Bot earned the District Event Finalist Award, as well as the Innovation in Control Award! That was an amazing performance, Lance-A-Bot.
Both teams fought their hardest and had so much fun during the competition. Our next competition is at Berrien Springs! We hope to see you there on March 15th and 16th!
