With the competition coming up fast, both Team Lance-A-Bot and Lance-B-Bot have been getting on top of their tasks. Soon, we’ll have a working robot for the St. Joseph competition! Here are some of the things we accomplished this week.
The B Bot is working on adding a chain for the intake, and soon they will be working on the electrical part of the robot and they’ll be adding the bumpers soon. The A Bot is setting up the elevator with the pulleys and the belts, and they attached the pivot to the robot. They are also working on adding bumpers to their robot. One non-robot thing they’re working on is making sure the coral station is perfect so we can use it for testing.
Business has been working on a few things this week, but it was mainly slow. They finished all of the chains for our team and then kept working on buttons for our competitions. They are also working on an engineering book for our team, so that everyone understands how the robot works, how it was programmed/designed, etc.
It has been a little bit of a slow week for Software, but plenty of work still is done! Both A and B Bot have been testing the pose estimator on the robot this week. A Bot has also finished working on the elastic part of its program and is working on how to program the robot to score the coral.
The Design team is starting to work on the end-game part of their robot! They’re working hard on the climb and how we’re going to deep climb during the competition. To do that, they’re figuring out where they need to add a gearbox on the robot and how they will mount it. They’re also working on designing the human intake part of the robot, figuring out where they need to place it and how much space is needed to slide in the coral.
